چکیده

The complete mitochondrial genome of Chirolophis wui (Wang and Wang, 1935) was sequenced using the Illumina platform. sequence is 16,522 bp in length with 54% A+T content contains 13 protein coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA (tRNAs), 2 ribosomal (rRNAs), 1 control region (D-loop). H-strand 28 (12 PCGs, 14 tRNAs, rRNAs), whereas L-strand accommodates 9 (ND6 8 tRNAs). nucleotide composition C. AT-biased, accounting for 54.0%, an AT skew value −0.0556 a GC −0.2043. majority PCGs utilized start codon, ATG, while only one gene, COI, alternative GTG. Of 6 used termination codon (TAA or TGA), 7 incomplete (T TA). Among tRNA genes, tRNA-Leu tRNA-Ser were found duplicates. A phylogenetic tree constructed 10 sequences indicated that has very close relationship japonicus other species family Stichaeidae, high supporting bootstrap value. This study can provide valuable information future evolutionary studies on Stichaeidae.

Sequencing and characterization of mitochondrial DNA genome for Brama japonica (Perciformes: Bramidae) with phylogenetic consideration

In the present study, we isolated and characterized the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Brama japonica by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification and primerwalking sequencing. The complete DNA was 17,009 bp in length and contained a typical set of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes and a long putative control region. The gene organization and n...

Mitochondrial DNA sequence-based phylogenetic relationship of Trichiurus lepturus (Perciformes: Trichiuridae) from the Persian Gulf

In this study, mitochondrial DNA analysis using 16S ribosomal DNA (rDNA) was performed to investigate the phylogeny relationship of Trichiurus lepturus in the Persian Gulf compared to the other investigated area. The amplification of 16S rDNA resulted in a product of 600 bp in all samples. The results showed that the isolated strain belongs to T. lepturus showing 42 divergence sites among the s...

Reanalysis and revision of the complete mitochondrial genome of Rachycentron canadum (Teleostei, Perciformes, Rachycentridae).

The complete mitochondrial genome of cobia, Rachycentron canadum, was reanalyzed and revised. The genome is 18,008 bp in length, containing 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, and a control region or displacement loop (D-loop). The gene arrangement is identical to that observed in most vertebrates. Base composition on the heavy strand is 30.14% A...

The complete mitochondrial genome of the southern purple-spotted gudgeon Mogurnda adspersa (Perciformes: Eleotridae) through pyrosequencing.

The complete mitochondrial genome of the Critically Endangered southern purple-spotted gudgeon, Mogurnda adspersa, was determined for the first time using 1/8 of a 454 pyrosequencing plate. The mitogenome was assembled using the bioinformatic software MIRA. The M. adspersa genome organization was very similar to most vertebrates, being 16,523 bp in length. It contained 13 protein-coding genes, ...

The Complete Mitochondrial Genome of Aix galericulata and Tadorna ferruginea: Bearings on Their Phylogenetic Position in the Anseriformes

Aix galericulata and Tadorna ferruginea are two Anatidae species representing different taxonomic groups of Anseriformes. We used a PCR-based method to determine the complete mtDNAs of both species, and estimated phylogenetic trees based on the complete mtDNA alignment of these and 14 other Anseriforme species, to clarify Anseriform phylogenetics. Phylogenetic trees were also estimated using a ...
